Team BFS weightlifter Nicole Patruno broke all the New England records in the 130-pound bodyweight class at the 2018 American Open Series 3, held during September 13-16 in Las Vegas. Three years ago Nicole broke New England junior records in the 165-pound bodyweight class and has become considerably stronger while becoming leaner. In this competition, which with 1,651 athletes was the largest weightlifting meet in history, Nicole snatched 156 pounds and clean and jerked 191 pounds, giving her a total weight lifted of 348 pounds.
